Existing Is Not the Same as Solved

An existing workflow can still be unsolved when the underlying experience or model remains weak.

The presence of a solution is not evidence that the important problem has been solved.

The more useful question is whether the current model has moved the important decision into the right place. If it has not, adding more surface area can make the system look complete while preserving the original weakness.

That is why an existing approach deserves inspection before it deserves extension. The evidence is in the behavior of the system, not in the fact that a previous implementation exists.
